HI GUYS , THIS IS MY PROJECT SMART IRRIGATION ROBOT.

IT CAN IRRIGATE THE PLANTS BOTH MANUALLY AND AUTOMATICALLY.

 

TO MANUALLY IRRIGATE THE PLANTS, YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THIS APP:

PARTS USED IN THIS PROJECT:

  • ARDUINO NANO -2
  • L298N MOTOR DRIVER
  • 1 CHANNEL RELAY -2
  • SUMMERSIBLE WATER PUMP
  • MOISTURE SENSOR
  • HC-05 BLUETOOTH MODULE
  • BREADBOARD
  • CHASSIS
  • 12V MOTOR 300 RPM -2
  • MOTOR DUMMY-2
  • JUMPER WIRES
  • WIRES
  • LITHIUM POLYMER BATTERY
  • 9V BATTERY

 

WATER PUMP CONNECTION:

  • CONNECT THE POSITIVE(+) OF THE WATER PUMP TO THE 'COM' PIN OF THE RELAY.
  • CONNECT THE NEGATIVE(-) OF THE WATER PUMP TO THE NEGATIVE(-) OF THE (12V)BATTERY.
  • CONNECT THE 'NO' PIN OF THE RELAY TO THE POSITIVE(+) OF THE (12V)BATTERY.
  • WATER PUMP CONNECTION IS SAME FOR BOTH AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL.

  • CONNECT THE VCC OF THE MOISTURE SENSOR AND RELAY TO 5V OF ARDUINO.
  • CONNECT THE GND OF THE MOISTURE SENSOR AND RELAY TO GND OF ARDUINO.
  • CONNECT THE OUT PIN (COMMUNICATION PIN) OF THE MOISTURE SENSOR TO DIGITAL PIN 8 OF ARDUINO.
  • CONNECT THE OUT PIN (COMMUNICATION PIN) OF THE RELAY TO DIGITAL PIN 13 OF ARDUINO.
  • CONNECT THE 9V BATTERY'S POSITIVE(+) TO THE VIN PIN OF THE ARDUINO.
  • CONNECT THE 9V BATTERY'S NEGATIVE(-) TO THE GND OF THE ARDUINO.

  • RELAY SIGNAL PIN TO ARDUINO DIGITAL PIN 4
  • RELAY GND TO ARDUINO GND
  • RELAY VCC TO ARDUINO 5V

  • BLUETOOTH MODULE VCC TO ARDUINO 5V
  • BLUETOOTH MODULE GND TO ARDUINO GND
  • BLUETOOTH MODULE TX TO ARDUINO RX
  • BLUETOOTH MODULE RX TO ARDUINO TX.

NOTE*: DON'T CONNECT THE TX AND RX OF THE BLUETOOTH MODULE TO ARDUINO WHILE UPLOADING THE CODE.CODE WILL NOT GET UPLOADED.


  • L298N MOTOR DRIVER 12V TO 12V BATTERY POSITIVE(+)
  • L298N MOTOR DRIVER GND TO 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE(-)
  • L298N MOTOR DRIVER IN1 TO ARDUINO DIGITAL PIN 5
  • L298N MOTOR DRIVER IN2 TO ARDUINO DIGITAL PIN 6
  • L298N MOTOR DRIVER IN3 TO ARDUINO DIGITAL PIN 9
  • L298N MOTOR DRIVER IN4 TO ARDUINO DIGITAL PIN 10

  • CONNECT THE RIGHTSIDE MOTOR TO OUTPUT OF THE L298N MOTOR DRIVER (IN1 AND IN2)
  • CONNECT THE LEFTSIDE MOTOR TO OUTPUT OF THE L298N MOTOR DRIVER (IN3 AND IN4)

MAKE SURE THE MOTORS TURN CLOCKWISE WHILE PRESSING FORWARD BUTTON, IF ITS NOT ROTATING CORRECTLY CHANGE THE POLARITY OF THE MOTOR (I.E., IF YOU HAVE CONNECTED THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE OF THE MOTOR TO OUTPUTS OF IN1 AND IN2 RESPECTIVELY AND ITS NOT ROTATING CORRECTLY ,CONNECT THE NEGATIVE TO IN1 AND THE POSITIVE TO IN2)
